Welcome to the Library/Learning Resource Center located on 111 Livingston Street in Room 306.
The Library provides a learning atmosphere offering students a quiet place to study, a place where they can meet up with fellow students to work on their homework; and use computers to do research, academic work, and prepare for classes. The Library provides academic support services and resources for career exploration. We offer:
- 6,000 books that are available for circulation:There is an extensive collection of academic, math, English, literature, African-American history and career related books.
- 500 Books on Reserve that offers students textbooks and course related books. We have a collection of college catalogs and financial aid information.
- Class related resource materials and other materials made available by instructors.
- Individual and group tutoring in math, English, and basic computers skills
- Specialized mathematics workshops
- Newspapers & Magazines:Students have access to newspapers and periodicals. Most of the periodicals and newspapers are related to academic or career development. Students can read The New York Times, look for jobs, and browse career articles. They can look at the New York City civil-service oriented newspaper, The Chief, or read about current events, careers, entrepreneurship, and computer technology.
- Six [6] computers with Internet access for research, and other course work.
- Thirteen [13] computers with classroom software where students can practice what they learned in class. Software includes Pre-GED and GED practice, reading, math, writing, keyboarding, medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and other instructor-given assignments and resource materials.
Library Assistants are available to help students with Microsoft Office problems, Internet access, setting up and using an e-mail account, online software and class assignments.

Come in before or after class: tutoring is free.

Drop-in tutoring before or after class.
